Connecting Patients and Providers, Virtually Anywhere

Innovative technology that fosters communication, builds relationships, improves access and convenience, and enhances patient care.

Massachusetts General Hospital TeleHealth provides patients and consulting providers virtual options for access to the expertise of Mass General clinicians. Users of the telehealth service communicate, collaborate and share their information remotely using familiar and easy to use tools. These tools allow providers to interact with patients - and each other - in a way that is most convenient and best suited to the patient's medical needs.

Patients may access providers for second opinions, or have virtual follow-up visits or remote monitoring with their existing providers. Mass General clinicians in selected departments are already using TeleHealth technology today. Mass General TeleHealth puts Mass General at the forefront of a national shift toward providing patients and the community high-quality, convenient virtual care options to augment the traditional ways in which medical care will be delivered.

Current programs include: Brain Tumor Center, Cancer Center, Critical Care, Pathology, Pediatrics, Primary Care, Surgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pulmonary, TeleBurns, TeleHeart, TeleNeurology/TeleStroke, TelePsychiatry, TeleRadiology.

Testimonials

We know what time to be on and we just connect. I find a sense of comfort doing virtual visits with the doctor in my own home. It allowed us to achieve what it is we want to achieve. I feel like we're a team.
