Virtual Visits are just one of the many examples of telehealth services offered by Massachusetts General Hospital. Below are other types of telehealth services conducted at Mass General:

Virtual Consult: Real-time video consultation conducted between two providers.

eVisit: Online exchange of medical information between a patient and their care provider.

eConsult: Online consultation conducted between two providers.

  1. What devices can I connect from?

You can use most computers [Windows or Mac] and tablets with a webcam.

  2. Is the connection between myself and my clinician secure and private?

Yes, just like a regular doctor's appointment, your virtual visit is entirely private and confidential. Virtual visits are never recorded or shared. However, it is very important that you conduct your visits in a private location!
